Senate Bill 324 allows certain health facility staff to perform these task On June 4, 2017, Gov. Brian Sandoval signed SB 324 into law, authorizing employees of a residential facility for groups, an agency to provide personal services in the home, a facility for the care of adults during the day or an intermediary service organization to check vital signs, administer insulin using an auto-injection device approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in the home, and perform waived blood glucose tests. The Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) is writing regulations to implement this law, and will notify affected facilities of opportunities to comment on the SB 324 regulations before being finalized. When can we expect to see more regarding this bill? I am interested in looking at the (potential) training needed for PCA's.
