Nevada certification is now run through Division of Public and Behavioral Health Programs that are certified in Nevada to treat persons convicted of domestic violence are now regulated by the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC), which has created a Domestic Violence Treatment Program Renewal Checklist and added it to the web page for these programs.
Through HCQC, the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) certifies and renews batterers treatment programs for the State of Nevada in accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) Chapter 228. DPBH adopts regulations for the evaluation, certification and monitoring of programs for the treatment of persons who commit domestic violence. DPBH took over these responsibilities from the Committee on Domestic Violence because of Senate Bill 25, passed during the 2017 session of the Nevada Legislature.
